but still, how can dakila show strength when his own weakness is all along very visible? first thing that he needs to conquer is his own emotions.
after mentioning his treatment with habagat in my previous post, how can he treat gabriel the way he did? surely, gabriel may be a ravena by blood, but it is not fair for him to do that. let's say gabriel will indeed be swayed by ravenum. but still it is not right for dakila to treat the young man the way he did because he knew what gabriel's role will be towards the end. instead of guiding him to the right path, he threw gabriel out of the picture and thus, is instrumental as to why gabriel may possibly become the anti-sugo.
dakila may be the oldest among the mulawin, but dakila surely is not the wisest. he is an old, ignorant, self-righteous, emotional, and a racist bird-man, and i am very disappointed with him. i remember not too lang ago, dakila was presented as the gandalf of the mulawin.
definitely, dakila is no gandalf. gandalf knew what was to happen and he knew what to do, and he did exactly what was expected of him.
dakila on the other hand, is run by his emotions. he fails miserably. and he deserves that he lost his only daughter. it is all his fault why avila fell.
in conclusion of this post, if there is one character who should be considered as the greatest contrabida, it is dakila. ravenum, in many ways might even be correct. dakila is fooling everyone!
