hmmm...watching the show tonight, i was disappointed with dakila.

being the sage and the wisest among the mulawin, i can't believe that he can be swayed easily by his emotions and act too swiftly without knowing both sides of the story.

look at how he dealt with habagat! i know that the scene between dakila and habagat with bagwis would register well with the audience, but this is not dakila. what was asked for him to do (by the writers and director) was for him to be a confused parent, too protective of his lot, regardless of the truth. dakila was acting like a 60-year-old teenager!

i can't remember the exact line but in the movie yentle, yentle mentions that he who has control over his emotions has real strength, or something to that effect.

thus, was this the real purpose of this scene, to show dakila's weakness?
