lourdes tells lawiswis not to give up. lawiswis returns to her older self.

kuwak fights his father.

estrella lies dying on maningning's arms. maningning cries. estrella dies.

muyak wonders why they could no longer see gabriel and alwina. linang says that more tests will be set before the two.

aguiluz and alwina reach the gates before the mulawin tree.

the guardian of the mulawin tree appears. she tells the two that they need to reach the tree's base and need to survive one more test.
