bagwis talks to the rebels. he tells them that their journey for avila will not be an easy one. bagwis meets mulagat once more. bagwis presents mulagat to the group.

gabriel dreams of lucio who suddenly becomes ravenum. ravenum tells gabriel that he will be known to be the most powerful. he dreams of ravenum as a mulawin.

father and son meet. habagat felt his son's coldness towards him.

ravenum is back wearing the hiyas ng walang kupas.

Happy New Year nga pala mga kapuso...

Mabuti naman at nabalik na sa normal si Aviona, at least ngaun may rason na para talagang mag-celebrate ang mga fans lalong lalo na ung Bianca fans. Sayang nga lang may mga namatay sa episode ngaun that's the sad part of tonights episode. At isa pang nakaka-dismaya on my part is the sudden appearance of frogs kasi may phobia kasi ako dun. Pero kahit halos tumindig na balahibo ko sa diri sa palaka manonood pa rin ako... I will always watch mulawin, ang ganda kasi. Wish ko lang sana madaling matapos ang frog part na ito...

At isa pa excited na ako kung ano ang mangyayari sa pagtatagpo nina Ravenum at Gabriel.

gabriel thinks that he is going in circles. he falls into a pit.

alwina, aviona, and aguiluz land at the mouth of the cave.

gabriel falls and ravenum catches him.

the three goes into the cave.

gabriel thanks ravenum for saving him.

frogs fall at them. aguiluz advices the two girls to avoid them as they might have poisonous skins. the three feel the cave tremble. there's a big frog inside the cave.

lucio fires his gone at a ravena soldier. no bullets came. a shot was made towards a lowlander. lucio covers the girl. he falls.

dakila meets everyone. the musang pledges their aid.

aviona flies and aguiluz carries alwina to look for the missing ugatpak.

the people mourn for lucio. he asks those around him to continue their cause. he asks them to ask for gabriel's forgiveness, for him, when they meet him.

aviona wakes up with a smile. perena has left the mulawin. aviona was surprised when she was told that she plucked alwina's ugatpak.

linang continues to monitor the three. mulagat wants to go back to the lowlands and meet his father.

war has started. the rebels versus the ravena.

linang is hesitant to let mulagat go.

tuka and kuwak fight the ravena soldiers. habagat does as well.

linang asks mulagat to take care of himself and of his father. mulagat says he could not promise that he could protect his father but is willing to do what should be done.

habagat meets his son. mulagat rescues his father.

further, alwina has always been who the balasik would refer to as sugo. i don't think that the balasik is capable of lying. (maybe you can refer to the balasik as the professor dumbledore of mulawin.)

also, the balasik is known to foresee the future as much as know what is currently happening at all times.

The prophecy doest not necessarily point out Harry as the one who would kill Voldemort.Harry Potter and Neville Longbotom match the prophecy's criterias. a soldier reports that the rebels are now united and are headed possiby for avila. rasmus orders the soldier to stop the rebels.

alwina tells aguiluz that she doesn't have her ugatpak anymore. aviona starts to fight aguiluz. he tells aviona that only the pureness in her heart can thwart the evil that envelops her. aviona starts to fight and resist perena and her power. she drops down and aguiluz catches her.

alwina can't believe that aguiluz is alive and is back. he tells her that he is real and it is their fate to meet once more and be together.

dakila makes it clear that he doesn't know how many sugo there are. he only knows what the balasik told him: that any mulawin who dies and comes back is a sugo.

aguiluz now remembers everything from his past.

dakila tells aguiluz to go and look for alwina so that they could go together to the mulawin tree.

dakila apologizes to aguiluz for all the wrongs he has done.

Anyhow, if there's any, either alwina or gabriel could be aguiluz twin. But im keeping my fingers crossed that it's gabriel, otherwise what will happened to the love story of alwina and aguiluz. it will be very obvious that they took the story from starwars.

aviona turns and sees aguiluz. alwina is already very weak.

alwina stares at aguiluz.

I remember way back when Dakila or is it Violeta who said that the "Sugo" could equal the power of hundreds of Mulawins combined, so far, no one has shown that much of an impressive power.

Inang Reyna also hailed Alwina before, saying that, one day they will all bow before her. Alwina has shown great powers from the start, eversince she was a kid unlike Aguiluz who's only a skilled warrior. But Alwina is turning out to be, like i said, helpless.

Last night revealed that Aguiluz was destined for greatness (Inang Reyna visited the egg-bearing Carmina - a la Michael the Archangel to Mother Mary)
But it is still not clear to me where, why, and how did Aguilar, (Aguiluz' father) rescued the egg with Alwina inside. Where's Bagwis during those times?

So, who is the real Sugo? In LOTR, Sam eventually became the hero in the end since he kept his wits and saved the breaking Frodo. Maybe, something like this would turn out in Mulawin's expected Great Finale.

well, if you have started to hate aviona, then i must say that bianca is an effective artist. you can only say that an artist is effective if you forget who she is as an actress and start to address or think of her as her own character. i am glad that you are a different aviona fan than the rest. hehe. no offense to the others.

as for alwina having her ugatpak plucked, i guess it was what vultra wanted, to make alwina weaker.

as for your comment about "sugo," yes, i was disappointed too that aguiluz was added to the roster of being sugo. ravenum also calls gabriel as his sugo. too many sugo and the word starts to become too common and the magic of the word fades. in effect it makes it easy for anyone to become a sugo. i would rather have only one sugo and the rest as protectors of the sugo. that way, you can only say that the sugo is one in a million and is very special.

hmmm. as for gabriel, it is possible that once more, ravenum will try to coerce gabriel into accepting the role. he might or might not accept it. he may even be forced to accept it. but i think he would have the least resistance in entering avila considering that ravenum is "pleased" with him.

anyways, thanks also for noticing my contribution to mulawin. LOL! i hope it helps others too. and by the way, for a better story handling, with more details, you can check out the violet channel. south rock has been doing very good in her little corner of the mulawin world.

as for the caps, i'll have to post it later, i guess. it's kinda late now from where i am.

ravenum tells vultra that what she has is a stone called hiyas na walang kupas.

aguiluz is now back in the real world and starts to fly.

Wow na-miss ko ditow ;) Kanina nalang ako nakapanood uli so kudos to streetstopper for the summaries! Di na'ko naguguluhan the next time I watch.

Loooove that resurrection from the ashes. Fell more inlove with Richard the minute I saw the reloaded version of him.

Tonight's episode made one thing clear: His mother is a Mulawin (smiled when I saw Carmina as the mother....ang galing talaga nila pumili) and not an Engkantada, like what we thought it to be when the supposed mother showed up to Aguiluz in such shining light. So now......was that a sort of apparition to Aguiluz just to say that he is in the right path?

With Aviona, kelan ba babait itong batang ito?!?!?!?!? I don't want to despise her. Really. She has all my praises for her award-winning acting, but she convinced me too far enough to hate her. Won't there be any chance to clean up her role like Habagat's?

With Alwina, I so agree with Emsie...until when will we see her utterly HELPLESS?!?!? I see girlpower, yes, with the fighting and all. But what disturbs me was to see my favorite sugo slow down her reflexes when her ugatpak was removed! Parang.....Ay. Natanggal. Wala lang. The purpose of the girlpower in Alwina --- defeated.

Another in my "ask" list--- SINO BA TALAGA ANG SUGO?!?!?!? Pwede bang isa nalang to give justice to the word? I mean, it has to be Alwina! I refuse to believe that the Balasik got it all wrong!

I saw another deviation. Aguiluz's role in the world is to protect Alwina The Sugo - whatever happens. Now that he is resurrected from the ashes, he's now supposed to help and protect others and leave Alwina to her sometimes helpless misery?

Excited lang ako siguro mashado makita si Aguiluz and Alwina together again. But still?!?!?

Another major excitement for me: see how Gabriel would react when faced with Ravenum and eventually transforms into the Evil Sugo for the Dark Side - and combat… Aguiluz?

And....what's gonna happen when Habagat sees Mulagat...for the 2nd time around? Will Linang be there to witness it all? Would there be even a chance for Habagat to see Mulagat and Linang again?

A sugo returns, while the other one falls... How could Alwina be so helpless at times. It's like she's often too slow to react.
I also think that it's about time for Alwina to kill someone. Every warrior is supposed have his/her first kill (which reminds me of vampire slayers). How would she handle that?
But maybe she's the type of superhero who doesn't take lives, just like Batman and Spiderman.
But the story is indeed getting exciting.. Just when you thought that the Good Side is getting the edge, with the resurrection of Aguiluz and Mulagat, and the reform of Habagat.
Their worst enemy perhaps is yet to come, in the being of Gabriel, the "Dark Sugo". Poor Gabriel, he would be forced to play a part his heart would regret. But that would make his character all the more intriguing... Richard, Dennis and Angel are indeed the "big young stars" to watch out for nowadays. Has anyone seen "SIGAW"? How was it? Although it's an apparent "The Grudge" version, Richard and Angel are just very good to look at. =)

Actually, Aviona reminds me of Gollum struggling to be Smeagol (his real self when he was still a Hobbit) but with Gollum (the creature he has become because of the ring)winning out in the end. As for Aguiluz's choice, there is indeed a similarity to that of Frodo's. And Aguiluz having shown his options is just like Galadriel showing Frodo what would happen if he should fail. But both chose the right path in the end even at the expense of their own lives and loves.

I beg to differ. Lord of the Rings is not strictly an all male show. Have you forgotten Eowyn, the shieldmaiden of Rohan? She defeated the mightiest of the nazgul, the Witch King of Angmar, remember? The one they said that no living man could kill? What about Galadriel? The keeper of the Elven ring Nenya, who has the power to see into the future. She is said to be the most powerful of the Eldar (Elves). It was she who guided Frodo and gave him the strength he would need in his quest. Actually G. Toengi’s character reminds me of her. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Reyna of the Engkantadas was inspired by the Lady of Lothlorien. Let’s not forget Arwen Undomiel, the ladylove of Aragorn, who protected him from Rivendell, using the arts of her people. There are many more of these type of female characters in JRR Tolkien’s Middle Earth, unfortunately, most of you only got to see LOTR on the silverscreen, and the story of LOTR revolves around the ring and those that are directly bound to its fate. But in his other works, like The Silmarillion, you’ll get to encounter more powerful and headstrong females like them. Clearly, the female characters I mentioned above are stronger than their male counterparts, it’s just a shame that their characters were not explored as much in the films. I don’t mind Mulawin drawing inspiration from JRRT’s works, I only wish that they wouldn’t make it so obvious. The quest for the Tree of the Mulawin (which sounds a bit like The Two Trees of Valinor that also give off golden lights from JRRT’s The Silmarillion), the company of nine (having a Gandalf character in Dakila, an Aragorn in Bagwis, Merry and Pippin in Pagaspas and Lawiswis, a Sam in Aguiluz – who refuses to be left behind, and a Frodo in Alwina – who must reach the Tree to save mankind), and the breaking of the Hukbo ng Mulawin with Lawiswis and Pagaspas getting captured by the enemy with Dakila and Bagwis going after them, and Alwina being forced to go alone with Aguiluz on her heels, is unmistakably very much like the breaking of the Fellowship, Merry and Pippin falling into the hands of the enemy with Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli after them, and Frodo and Sam going on their own. Even Aguiluz almost drowning to get to Alwina is very reminiscent of Sam swimming to get to Frodo despite the fact that he couldn’t swim! And Aviona is turning out to be another Gollum poisoning the minds of Aguiluz and Alwina so it would lead her to her ultimate goal, the Tree of the Mulawin. I’m actually a fan of Mulawin, I got hooked into it because of my unquenchable thirst for good fantasy. But the LOTR similarities in the plotline really disappointed me because I’m a hardcore Tolkien fan and I felt that they didn’t need to rip off Tolkien to make the story more interesting. I started watching the show because it had a good storyline, they don’t need to copy from Tolkien. I hate to see Mulawin turn into a cheap knock-off of LOTR.

Only the ORANGE channel is still vacant. The GREEN is for a quick glance of the latest posts in the Mulawin Kapuso blog (this one), and the YELLOW channel is maintained by DJ Brix. He just doesn't update often because of his job.

Chynnachard or "moderator" here (she's from the PEX Mulawin thread) wants to become editor. I don't know what happened to that as I haven't spoken with her or the admins lately. She wanted to join.

I've never noticed Vultra's necklace. Maybe Rasmus snatched it from Pagaspas the owl and gave it to her. :) Well, I suppose if she wears a fragment of the Hiyas Na Walang Kupas, it explains why she looks too young to be Alwina's mother. LOL But anyway, even if she doesn't, she has become a bird-woman, and the bird-men age slowly.

Speaking of the Hiyas, will it ever make a reappearance? It was not in the original story, like the Scouts, so will it fade out just like that? I kind of wish they had found a more crucial role for Bianca and Procopio before they died too. (Yes, they are dead. Dakdak buried them already.) Or at least, allowed Aguiluz to meet them in the Afterlife.

Question again: Why did Lino and Rusing escape just like that? It wasn't even shown, and they were never found. They could have played a vital role in the revolt. Was there a technical problem, I wonder? I've heard some not-so nice things about the actor who plays Lino.

Paloma was not burned; her raft was rowed away from land into the open sea. That's traditional also. She wasn't cremated since she wasn't a warrior.


So we're the same, bluedove. I also live in a secluded area so I don't go out to watch movies. I haven't seen any in a long time and I'm not such a big movie and TV fan, anyway. Usually, I just read books. It's only because of Mulawin that I've become interested in local TV and film-making. From what I've heard, all the 8 entries are doing well. Even if Sigaw is only at #6, it's still doing well considering that it's not a big-budget flick. Unfortunately, Panaghoy sa Suba cost 25M so it needs to rake in a lot of money to just to break even. It's cellar-dweller at this point, and that's no surprise since it's in Cebuano with English sub-titles. But I'm sure that it will reap awards (unless they snub it because of Cesar Montano's tantrum in a previous film-fest) and get attention in foreign festivals.

Some say that Jomari & Izza steal the scene in Sigaw, but I can't say since I haven't seen it. Dennis Trillo is favord to win Best Supporting Actor for his a la Madame Butterfly role in Aiste Imasu, though Jay Manalo is also a solid candidate.

By the way, if you want to support Mulawin actors, then remember that movie, not just Sigaw, as well as Mano Po 3 and Spirit of the Glass (since Mulagat is in there as supporting cast). All those 8 movies seem to be well done, based on what I've read and heard.

Anyway, I think I did suggest that the Hell might have been an illusion. I thought so because there's no way to justify Aguiluz's presence there. I think a good percentage of our guesses turn out right, though not all! ;)

So hell all along, is just an illusion created by the fairies to test Aguiluz. hmmmm, i remember in previous episodes that another mulawin is due to visit engkantadia, others even predicted that it could be Dakila. It's now getting obvious that Aguiluz could be the real sugo though i'm still bewildered with the idea that Balasik made a mistake.

Yap, just as i predicted, he will rise just like a Phoenix using his own ashes. well, if his the phoenix then his definitely the sugo because yeah, again phoenix is the highest form of bird and a symbol of immortality. I think Aguiluz will meet his mother before he follows Alwina or maybe inang reyna could be his mother?!?!

On the other hand, i smell a teary, romantic and shocking reunion between Alwina and Aguiluz. I just can't figure out how will Alwina react with the latter's presence, she may even think that aguuiluz is a hunyango. and yap, which one of the two ladies (alwina and aviona) will he meet first.

I don't like how they brought back Mulagat. He died with his ugatpak on and it didn't save him. Plus he's been dead for weeks or months and his body was cast away into the water. What is this, GI Joe? Nobody important really dies? That's the 3rd resurrection for the Mulawin now. I think that's unfair to the bad guys who've succeeded in killing them but are beaten by the fairies who intervene. IMHO, there should have been only one resurrection... that of the true Sugo.

Anyway, another hero who had to make a choice is Roland of Gilead of The Gunslinger series. He was offered twice between the Tower and a loved one. Both times he chose the Tower. He lost Susan, and then Jake (but got the boy back later).

True ... too much resurrection indeed, but Mulagat has proven to be an important character that's difficult to just let go.
But it was never really established if he actually owns an ugatpak, although i really doubted if a half fairy half mulawin could easily die of gunshot. In the back of my mind, i know it's a set up. Meanwhile, Paloma is an important character as well and i think there's no plan of bringing her back. (was her body burned as well(ala TROY)?) Anyway, Aguiluz has to become a full mulawin once again.. and this is their way of doing it instead of just swallowing a green binhi.

I think Aviona is aware of the ritual but since her body was taken over by Perena, hindi na nya alam ang ginagawa nya, lolz. I never expected that Aviona have a very powerful and crucial role. All the while I thought she was cast, just to be alwina’s rival for Aguiluz love to make the story a bit exciting.

Aviona’s character is similar to the Green Goblin and Dr. Otto Octavius of Spiderman 1 & 2. Both have dual personality which is good and bad. Now my 1 million dollar question is, WHO will she fight in the end? will it be Alwina or Aguiluz? If Alwina, then Aguiluz will definitely face Ravenum. But if it’s the other way around, how will Aguiluz fight Aviona? How can you possibly fight or worst kill your childhood sweetheart, best friend & former lover?? The same applies with Gabriel if his the sugo of ravenas.

What can I say, Perena is simply irresistible lolz. Hey, speaking of Perena, she’s doing a solo now, w/o vultra, rasmus or ravenum. What happened? Why is it that Perena, the most powerful evil enkantada agreed to be used by the ravenas who has no inch of power like hers. And why pursue? May nagawa bang kasalanan ang mulawin sa kanya? Or is it another story that needs to be unfolded.

Tama, the next thing they should you do is to compile all episodes in a vcd or dvd, like the band of brothers. Please guys, let me know if there’s any.

Now that’s what you called a right choice. Aguiluz chose world peace because he thought that the Alwina he saw was not the Alwina he knew. Belzebub was trying to trick him on something, showing him the most possible thing that he will ever choose...His weakness, his own hell (well, almost) that is Alwina and him to be together. Fortunately, Aguiluz did not fell prey. But yeah, it’s the Matrix thing :D

Now it makes sense to me that Ang-Ang and Sakmal were both suffering from their own hell. They just simply made the wrong choice. Pity, but in real world, it happens a lot. People often shrugged it as simply being practical, but actually it is called selfishness, putting yourself first rather than the people around you.

Furthermore, I am disturbed with what’s happening to Aviona. I really never expected that she was still under control of Perena. I even thought she will meet aguiluz in hell. Or is it that Perena has finally found a body she can use since she’s only a spirit?!? Bagwis once said that burning a dead mulawin body is a ritual that can only be done for the noblest and bravest mulawin warrior. Aviona seems to be not aware about the ritual.

Wow, Mulawin is really getting good. Can’t wait for the next episode.

aguiluz tells the devil that the alwina that he saw was not the real alwina for she would never leave her duty. he assures the devil that he is ready to let go of alwina.

tonight on mulawin (2004 dec 27) (pt 3):

dakdak tells about what happened with the scouts.

gabriel brings alwina to the entrance where he met haraya. alwina continues her trip alone.

aguiluz tells alwina that she doesn't have wings. she just laughs at him. the devil tells aguiluz that it is time for him to decide. then aguiluz is consumed by a dark smoke as he screams for alwina.

rasmus looks for bagwis and tells him to tell alwina that if she still wants to see lourdes, and the kids, she should look for him.

dakila talks to hidalgo. hidalgo tells dakila that he travelled with gabriel. dakila tells gabriel that it is the prophesy for alwina to go alone. he further asks gabriel if he really wants to help alwina or just wants to reach avila.

estrella admits his love for gabriel. gabriel tells her that he still loves alwina.

kuwak and tuka stop rasmus. the two ravena and the brothers escape rasmus.

vultra assures lourdes that she will meet again her daughter.

gabriel admits to alwina what estrella had admitted to him. he tells her that he still loves the sugo.

vultra tells lourdes that her promise to protect lourdes is only limited. she says she can no longer protect lourdes as she has joined the rebels.

aguiluz continues with his ability to see what is to happen if he chooses alwina. alwina scoffs at gabriel for telling her about the mulawin and the ravena and their friends. she tells him that she has heard of stories that the ravena still continue to torment the rest of the people. then aguiluz sees the boy again who in turn runs away again.

bagwis thinks that something wrong has happend with lourdes and lawiswis.

alwina and estrella gets some practice on hand to hand combat. maningning applauds her for doing well. she says that alwina is welcome to join them. dakila asks alwina for some privacy.

vultra presents lourdes, pagaspas, and lawiswis to rasmus. rasmus tells his soldier to kill the three.

dakila tells alwina that it is time for them to go separate ways.

If I’m not mistaken, the name is rendered as Belzebo in the Tagalog Bible. I don’t have it with me right now though. I used it because that’s what I thought I heard, and it seems to be the Spanish-Pilipino version of the name. Most scholars think the name means “Lord of the Flies” or “Lord of Dung.” LOL

I think it's from the name of a demon in the Bible. "Beelzebul" which means, "Lord of the Damned." It is often mistranslated as "Beelzebub" which is, "Lord of the Flies."

And the devil's real name, so they say, is Ialdabaoth.

The only thing I could say about all these bruhahahah...Aguiluz forget about Alwina or the so called Peaceful World Order CHOOSE AVIONA INSTEAD!!! Can't you see the hand writings on the wall...your MULAWIN show is going down the drain sooner rather than later. The show have been suffering so much in the ratings game eversince the mysterious death of Aviona. I've lost interest in watching the telefantaya series and I've switch to watching ABS-CBN Channel 2's Vivian, Carlo & Martin of the "Lovers in Paris" chino novela series...

i don't know what aguiluz will be choosing, but based on the mulawin trailer i have seen a few minutes ago, aguiluz's choice will bring him back stronger!

on one hand, isn't it that love conquers all? so maybe he would choose alwina...but choosing her would only be for his personal interest. if he chooses world peace, then he may still be with alwina sans his feeling, and maybe, it would be possible that he would fight with the sugo.

bluedove- u know that aguiluz is the real sugo. if u mean that alwina will be the sugo the story will be change ..u see the teaser and b4 the mulawin start .. its shown that aguiluz is the lead star and not alwina. he protect alwina but its doesnt mean that alwina is the sugo..

the sugo wil be the pure mulawin and her mother is the reyna of mulawin....

alwina is not pure mulawin its a half ..cant u see the point.
